Cricket Club Information

Staithes is a village located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It is situated 10 miles to the north of Whitby. The cricket club play their matches at Staithes Athletic Club that is located in the centre of the village on Seaton Cresent.

The Cricket club currently runs two senior teams and a junior team. The first eleven play in the Readers Scarborough Beckett League premier division and the second eleven plays in the Cleveland League first division. The club also runs an under 14 junior side that play in the Esk Valley Junior League. In the coming years we would also like to introduce an evening league side and possibly an under 18 or 19 team.

The Cricket Club shares the ground with Staithes Athletic F.C. The Athletic club itself support both teams and has over 2,000 annual members. The club has a bar overlooking the ground and a concert room that holds events for up to 300 people.

200 Club

Staithes Cricket Club also has a ‘200 Club’ that helps support the cricket team with over 220 members who all pay £1.00 per week into the cricket section. In return, there is a weekly cash draw and all members receive a ticket to the cricket club Annual Cricket Club Presentation Evening.  . The evening includes food, and entertainment from a band and a comedian. There is also a cash draw with up to £1,000 worth of prizes to be won.
